Drawing: During term 1
Students have refined and developed their core drawing and observation skills. They have used a wide range of monochromatic media learning new skills and re visiting and increasing knowledge in others. We have explored portrait proportions and created different drawing surfaces using inks and collage. The initial stages of this diagnostic drawing unit have been evaluated and discussed using specific terminology in mini sketchbooks building literacy skills. Throughout this process students have developed their knowledge of layout and presentation. This is a sample of examples.
